Benefits of Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is something that has helped me tremendously. Whenever I am stressed, anxious, or need a boost of energy I put a few drops of essential oils in my diffuser or use one of our body butters and I start feeling better. But what is aromatherapy and why does it work?

Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit. It enhances both physical and emotional health. It can be used topically (like our body butters), ingested, put in diffusers, bath salts, clay masks, the list is endless. However, not all essential oils are safe to ingest and I would only recommended ingesting essential oils that you have done EXTENSIVE research on.

There are over a hundred essential oils available and each oil has its own unique healing properties, uses, and effects. Combing oils (like in our body butters) creates even more benefits. Essential oils have been used to:

· Manage pain

· Improve sleep quality

· Reduce stress and anxiety

· Sooth sore joints

· Treat headaches and migraines

· Alleviate side effects of chemotherapy

· Ease discomfort of labor

· Fight bacteria, virus, or fungus

· Improve digestion

· Boost immunity
