7. DEA (Diethanolamine), MEA (Monoethanolamine), and TEA (Triethanolamine)

8. DMDM Hydantoin & Urea
These preservatives often release formaldehyde and cause joint pain, skin allergies, headaches, and loss of sleep.

9. Parabens (Methyl, Butyl, Ethyl, Propyl)
Parabens are not always labeled and they are used as preservatives. They may also contribute to hormone imbalance.

10. PEG (Polyethylene glycol)
This ingredient is used in products to adjust the melting point and thickness. It can also alter and reduce the skin’s natural moisture factor.

11. Propylene Glycol (PG) & Butylene Glycol
The rate at which this ingredient penetrates the skin weakens the protein and cellular structure.
This chemical is used in a variety of cosmetics and is a suspected endocrine disrupter. Ingredients ending in -siloxane or -methicone contain siloxanes.
